Katie Franklin is a Client Success Associate and Business Support Specialist at Specialty Tax Group, where she supports client communications, internal coordination, and the successful execution of tax credit and incentive engagements. With a background rooted in healthcare operations and higher education, Katie brings a strong attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and a calm, organized approach to client support.


Before joining Specialty Tax Group, Katie spent over a decade working in highly regulated clinical and academic environments. She has served as an Adjunct Instructor of Radiology at Gwinnett Technical College since 2013, where she educates and mentors future healthcare professionals while developing curriculum and overseeing clinical performance. Earlier in her career, Katie worked as a Clinical Coordinator and Radiographer at organizations including Emory-affiliated institutions, Resurgens Orthopaedics, and Atlanta Medical Center, roles that required precision, compliance, and consistent communication across multidisciplinary teams.


Katie holds a Bachelor of Medical Science in Medical Imaging Education from Emory University School of Medicine and an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from West Georgia Technical College. Her professional background enables her to navigate complex processes, support clients with clarity and care, and contribute to STG’s commitment to accuracy, responsiveness, and long-term client success.

Why did you choose to work at STG?

I was drawn to STG’s client-focused culture and its emphasis on accuracy and collaboration. The opportunity to apply my background in regulated environments to a new industry—while supporting clients and internal teams—felt like a natural next step.

 

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

Helping things run smoothly for clients. I enjoy being a reliable point of contact and making sure details are handled correctly so clients feel supported and confident throughout the process.

 

What’s your work style?

Organized, proactive, and supportive. I value clear communication, strong processes, and staying ahead of potential issues before they become problems.

 

What “bright idea” do you find yourself sharing over and over again?

Clear documentation and communication save time for everyone. When expectations and details are aligned early, outcomes are better across the board.

 

What do you consider to be your best quality?

Consistency. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and focused on following through—especially in environments where accuracy and trust matter.


What did 10-year-old you want to be when you grew up?

A teacher. I enjoyed helping others learn and explaining things in a way that made sense.


What profession would you choose if you didn’t work in client success?

Education or training. I enjoy guiding people, simplifying complex information, and helping others feel confident in what they’re doing.
