Sharadiant Turner is a Tax Analytics Staff member and Cost Segregation & Fixed Asset Specialist at Specialty Tax Group. With a strong foundation in mathematics and data analysis, Sharadiant supports cost segregation studies and fixed asset reviews by translating complex datasets into accurate, defensible tax outcomes for clients across a range of industries.


Before joining Specialty Tax Group, Sharadiant worked at Northrop Grumman as a Technical Editor and Writer, where she collaborated with engineers and program managers to develop and maintain highly technical documentation for large-scale aerospace systems, including F-35 programs. Her work required exceptional attention to detail, systems thinking, and strict adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Earlier in her career, she served as a data analyst and researcher, applying mathematical modeling, operations research, and statistical analysis to real-world challenges, including large-scale socioeconomic studies.


Sharadiant holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mathematics. She earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and her graduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles. Her academic and professional background allows her to approach tax analytics with precision, curiosity, and a strong appreciation for how numbers tell meaningful stories.

Why did you choose to work at STG?

I was drawn to STG’s analytical approach and its emphasis on collaboration. The opportunity to apply mathematical thinking to real-world tax strategy—while working alongside people who value precision and integrity—made STG a natural fit.

 

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

I enjoy connecting structure to impact. Whether it’s analyzing asset data or supporting a cost segregation study, I like knowing that careful analysis and attention to detail directly contribute to measurable value for clients.

 

What’s your work style?

Methodical, collaborative, and curious. I value clear communication and well-defined processes, but I also enjoy working through complex problems as a team and refining solutions together.

 

What “bright idea” do you find yourself sharing over and over again?

Strong systems make good outcomes repeatable. When data is organized and processes are clear, accuracy and efficiency naturally follow.

 

What do you consider to be your best quality?

Adaptability. I’m comfortable moving between technical detail and big-picture thinking, which helps me contribute effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.


What did 10-year-old you want to be when you grew up?

A scientist or inventor — I was always curious about how things worked and how ideas could be turned into something useful.


What profession would you choose if you didn’t go into accounting?

Likely something in research or systems design. I enjoy building frameworks that help people understand complex information and make better decisions.
